2600 MK II [boxed]

This is an early "Pong" type game which I picked up at a boot sale. It has a light gun and runs from batteries. I have not had a chance to test it yet. I brought it because I found it funny it was ripping off the 2600 name - even though it looks nothing like an Atari.

VES Channel F

Fairchild (Grandstand) Channel F II [boxed]

This is the UK version of the Channel F II video Entertainment Computer - the first programmable games computer. I was searching for an actual Fairchild Channel F and came across this one. Although it's marketed as a Grandstand machine it still has the Fairchild Logo. The strangest VES Channel Fthing about this machine is the controllers. At first it appears that there are no fire buttons, until you realise that you have to press the actual joystick down (which can be very difficult when playing an intense game.) The controllers also have a strange "Twisting" control which I have never managed to master! All controls are handled by one hand - as you need the other to hold the controller still!

Fairchild (Grandstand) Channel F II [boxed]

This is another eBay purchase but what a find! It came with all the games you can see in the photo in pristine condition complete with instructions booklets. The Console itself is immaculate and all the paper work and original plastic wraps are present. Also inside the box I found a number of letters from 1979 written by the original purchaser and the replies from the computer store he must have brought the unit from concerning game releases. All that content will be online soon!
