3 Inch Disk Drives - Additional Information.

 

Introduction

3" disk drives were used in a number of computers during the 1980's - these include the Amstrad CPC and PCW ranges as well as the Sinclair Spectrum + 3.

 

Differences in Internal Drive Models

There were many different revisions to the 3 inch drive design and although the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) underwent many changes - the mechanics of the drive remained virtually unchanged.
